Metamorphosis

About this book

Suggestive fantasy short story in which the main character is transformed into a repulsive beetle. English edition. A young man wakes up one day as a beetle. His parents and sister retain their human form, but their humanity is diminished more than they would wish. Reconciliation with the son, whom none of them understand because he cannot communicate on their level, comes only with his death. With it comes redemption, but perhaps also a measure of enlightenment. A raw allegory about the superficiality of language and emotions, easily applicable not only to the family, but practically to any society.
